Racing Driver

Ekaterina Luescher is a half-Ukrainian, quarter-Swiss, and quarter-Italian racing driver currently competing for Porsche Sports Club Suisse. Born on January 11th, 2007 in Aarau, Switzerland. Her father, Bruno Luescher, is a kart mechanic with 25 years of experience. He also a big part in coaching her to set up her kart correctly.

At the age of 5, Ekaterina watched the movie Ayrton Senna and was infected with the motorsport virus. In the same year, she started in the smallest kart category (Puffo) in front of her house where she drove around pylons. At the age of 6, she changed to the mini category and began her motorsport career and started racing in the KTM junior program where she trained to drive with the KTM Gt4. In addition to racing, she coached private kart lessons to collect money for her budget for racing.

Later on, she worked at the Porsche Center Zurich and the Amag First Rennsport team which also allowed her to come to the race track. Experiences from the team and race engineer supported her with the basic setup. “The collaboration between the driver and the mechanic is important to understand what I needs to change in the car. It's learning by doing!” said Ekaterina. In 2023 she moved up to the GTX class, she started with road cars and did her job well so she got the sponsor and was able to race in the Porsche Sports Club Suisse.
